First day. On bike .On way. Random thoughts banging my head. Making me curious and tickle on pit of stomach. Mind clouded with all plausible questions. What could be indices of NIT ? What would be scene over there ? Is Engg lyf exactly same as i heard ? Any Raggings ? Able to make cool friends( hot too) ? And the question marks were endless. just endless.
BAAAM. I was in NIT. Found it not so lush green. Big one. Later broucher informed its 100 acres. I parked my bike in divided sections provided. It was 10:05 AM . 25 minutes early to my surprise. Saw many unfamilier faces. Puzzled and excitement cant hide faces. Gave a glance to infrastructure. Walls of building were shining & glowing. Shining from stains & glowing from very dull paints. Looked no one dared to renovate it, since its existence in 1963. 5 long decades. It was all about first day.
Later, as time took its toll, i discovered some worth to write features of NITRR. Fug classrooms, filled with paralyzed benches. Drip roofs. Giving us sensation water is aplenty, go and waste. Fizzy labs. Some jackass lecturers. Workshop- made us realize life is not so comfortable either. But for godsake i had great time over there. Wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) less campus. Small and cute canteen. Damn cute( take it otherwise). Three gardens- working as inhabitant for hangouts, tiffin parties. short gossips and naps, sweet tym for couples too. A Library- feel lucky enough if you manage to get the books you needed. Queue for paying challans asap. Revolution in history by forfeit of 500 bucks. Still pending. Director mam in wanted posters( no more deep and dark secret). Maths Dept, making their presence in Guinness by signing most numbers of supply forms. NIT, blessing us sufficient time in honing our non-academic skills ( courtesy: sauraj), as most time college is shut. Group goal we say, mass bunk some others. Teachment of one night stand with books and hope for topping. yes topping. Our very own ECLECTIKA. Tough to pronunciat but easy to hold with. CC members googling to get some sponsors. Or one or two. Apart Cam Con. Companies visiting & assuring our future is not that bleak. Credit goes to E- hall. TPO as well.
It was all till present. 4th sem. Half engineering. List will be updated yet and yet again, till i cope up with remaining sems. So NITRR is printing its bittersweet memories on our heart and mind. Making our life a lot easier. In future, our college will be good topic for reminiscing old times. Wait, it will be no more our college. It will be our Alma-mater. And we the Alumnis. Just Alumnis.
